Vancouver BC Destinations

Those who are about to spend a vacation in Vancouver of British Columbia must prepare to visit some of the attractive places. Here are a couple of suggestions for Vancouver, BC destinations:

The Stanley Park

This park covers a thousand acres, making it one of the biggest parks in the North American territory. It is surrounded on its three sides with relaxing water, and it is a true getaway for somebody who wants to forget about the city life even for just a while. Because off its geographical features, it also serves as a hub for entertainment. It is a habitat for numerous kinds of birds such as swans and Canada geese. It is also where you could see many coyotes, squirrels, and raccoons. You could have fun with rollerblading, cycling, or merely jogging. Stanley Park is open to local visitors and tourists.

Chinatown in Vancouver

The Chinese Quarter in Vancouver fosters a strong ethnic community, but due to its commercialism, it is frequented by so many tourists. Shops are all over the place -- the tables are filled with rarely-seen foods, and, if you want novelties- this is the place to be. A powdered rhino horn could be bought at Chinatown, among many other unusual stuff.

This is also where the Sam Kee building, one of the world's narrowest buildings at just 2 meters wide, is found. You could also visit the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese garden, which is embraced by high walls. It was erected way back in 1986. Natural rock formations, along with pavilions, walkways, and gnarled trees, are to be seen.
