Yukon Territorial Parks
There are a couple of Yukon territorial parks. These parks have been home to picturesque landscape, and lush flora and fauna, as well as travelers and locals who are continually enthralled with their innate beauty.
Tombstone Territorial Park is one of these Yukon territorial parks. One of the most breathtaking of all Yukon territorial parks, the landscape of Tombstone Territorial Park is subartic tundra and is marked with jagged black granite peaks, alpine lakes, and diverse wildlife and bird species.
Passersby on cars can already get the sense of exploration and wonder just passing through. They may even encounter wildlife along the road. Hikers who trek from the highway can get to the center of the park within a day. Along the way, they are bound to encounter birds and wildlife, as well as are flora. These become more abundant the higher they go. Hikers have the opportunity to pass through and experience the North Klondike River and the Blackstone Uplands.
Another example of these Yukon territorial parks is the Herschel Island Territorial Park. This territorial park is by the Beaufort Sea. It is artic, for the most part, and rich in prehistoric cultures and traditions. The park is a place to spot rare migratory birds, caribous, grizzly bears, artic foxes, musk-ox, and raptors. There is also an abundance of wildflowers. Pack ice can be seen close to the park, as well as midnight suns during summer. The place is perfect for bird watching, hiking and photography. Camping is likewise permitted.
